Global Spelling Epidemic

I think there's a spelling mistake sick sickness taking over the world, with regards to one word in particular:

DEFINITELY

It's not 'definately', but everyone I know spells it that way, and I find it very strange... I actually used to spell it 'definately' myself until handy Firefox informed me with wavy red lines that it was wrong.

Psst, I haven't forgotten about the next chapter of The Heart Family Legacy, and Cassidy hasn't forgotten about you...

I think my mouse is failing on me yanno, which is making Simming very difficult as I oft times have to click at least fivefuckingtimes before the damn thing registers >: ( Between this and that weird flashing-lights-in-the-corner-of-my-eye issue which made me unable to see properly for a little while, I'm behind on the olde legacy. And of course there's the fact that I've defected from the Sims to my beloved television once again as I generally veg out and watch back-to-back episodes of BB USA...

Ahem. I'm looking for a nice wireless mouse/keyboard combo. Know of any good ones?

As you were.

  1. Logitech works pretty well. I have that set of keyboard/mouse it works perfect for me. You shoudl try it out. :D Or you could always go with Microsoft. I haven't had any problems with them either.

  2. Mm I've heard Logitech are rather The Business. I've been fannying about though and reading like a million different reviews, and I can't seem to find exactly what I want:
    *Good range- up to 10m
    *Reasonablish price
    *Does not look shit
    *Customisable shortcut keys
    *Optical or laser mouse
*Preferably an off switch for the mouse

  7. Hey Fury dude :D I always remember to spell it "d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y" by thinking of the word "finite", or sometimes "infinite". Pretty much the only way I can remember it, lol.

I've been using the same Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard for several years now, and I've always loved it. There are a few buttons at the top that handle your volume level, go directly to your online mail or home page, and open your browser. The keys remind me of laptop keys because of the soft touch and very light 'clacking' sound (which I personally love), but the keys are large. It's not quite an ergonomic keyboard with the two halves split for your hands, but it's got a small curve that makes it more comfortable than a standard straight keyboard (it takes a couple of days to get used to). It's here on newegg:

I'm also using a regular Microsoft mouse. I'll probably switch to another one later on, but this one has never given me any problems whatsoever (it's optical and wired). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105164

Newegg obviously has good reviews for keyboards & mice, and Tom's Hardware might also.

Aaaand this site seems to have good reviews...now I'm starting to drool a little bit for a new keyboard...thanks Fury :( j/k

  8. Thanks for the assistance guise. I've found my keyboard/mouse ness! It was so tempting to get a flashy one like my bro has (seriously, lights everywhere) but when he told me his mouse alone cost £50 I was like noooooooo.

Ah, now I just have to wait for it to arrive.

  13. Surprisingly, I don't think I've ever spelled it that way.
But yanno, I've got some abnormal grammar and spelling power in this head of mine . . . it's so bad that when I text(read: 4 times in my life, seriously), I use capital letters and punctuation, always. I hate textspeak/chatspeak, but I like spelling things on the compizzle with 'eh' instead of 'y', something I learned from you . . . ;)
And saying funneh words like 'compizzle' . . .

  18. LOL my ex used to spell it "definately" and it drove me crazy... I corrected him once, and he spelled it right for like a month and eventually forgot and went back to his old ways. I was like, "Seriously? That's the way you think it's spelled???"

  19. About the flaashing lights in the corners of your eyes, I get that too, sometimes, do you know what causes it???
