Oh the ironing...

Hey, guess what's top of the storyboard today? An actual story? Not bloody likely. Nope, instead it's this:

It does exactly what it says on the tin really- it's a 'story' telling people not to use the phrase 'that's so gay', because apparently that's offensive. To the gays.

Fun fact kiddies, I'm half-gay, two of my mates are gay, and we say it all the time. I guess some people just want to be offended.

But the thing that really made me laugh was the person's username...

BUMMER35.

BUMMER! Does that not mean the same thing in America as it does here?

*giggle*

  3. Heh, I'm gay and I'm not offended. :) I'm still in the closet though.

I feel offended by homophobic comments though. My best friend said that she wouldn't even talk to someone that she knew was gay. :( That made me feel sad.

But "that's so gay?" I say it sometimes, and I don't care. :D

  4. Aw that's terrible :( I'm lucky that my family and friends are all cool with people being gay, so it makes me feel really sad when other people aren't. Here's hoping your friend becomes more accepting with time :)

  5. I'm so deep in the closet, I swear I can find Narnia. :D

My whole school is basically homophobic - 'lesbian' is basically an insult. Hopefully they'll grow up. :)

But thanks Red, your comment made me feel happier. *hug*

  11. Um, I live in america and Bummer is something you say wen something doesn't go your way. Like insted if saying Darn it or Damn, we say oh thats a bummer, it means that person is upset. Like if you found out your BF was cheating on u, ur friend would say, "oh, thats a bummer... :(" when your Bummed-out, your upset and sad, or pouty. Like if it rained on the day of a swimin party, and it was cancelled, you'd say, "I'm bummed out it was cancelled!" Lol hope that clears things up 4 u. I live in Indiana in USA so i didn't get it. Dosen't "bum" mean "bottom" in England? If it does n ur talking about... omg lol i just got it. Lol

  12. "Bummer"...that reminds me, Fury...my friend who's British refused to tell me what "spunk" meant where he lived. Over 'ere it means cool or sumfink like that shiz. I guess not so much where he lives, eh? >_< Is that what it means to you?
